"Don't ask, don't tell" has been brought back from the dead, thanks to the Obama administration expected appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for a stay of federal Judge Virginia Phillips' ruling. But the stay, interestingly, is temporary, pending the court's decision on whether or not it should be extended throughout the appeals process, into next year. We'll go through the details.

Olson vs. Jarrett: White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, meanwhile, claims people "don't understand" the process and that the administration must appeal the DADT ruling, but Ted Olson, former Bush solicitor general begs to differ, saying it "would be appropriate" for Obama to decline to appeal.
