Today on the Signorile Show (1-18-13)

Guest / 3:30pm EST - We spoke a lot yesterday about Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o and whether or not he was involved in a hoax about the death of his non-existant girl friend.  During the NCAA Football season, this was an inspiration story covered by the sporting world, but what responsibilty do they have for pushing this lie?  Travis Waldron, reporter with ThinkProgress, returns to the program to speak with us about why the media failed here.

Guest / 4:30pm EST - During his first campaign for president, Barack Obama ran on a number of key issues, one focusing on the need for more environmental and climate change legislation.  During his first term, progressives and environmentalists were angry at the lack of movement on the issue, placing much of the blame on him for his lack of leadership.  But that is not entirely true, argues Theda Skocpol, Harvard University Political Scientist, who looks at many of the problems behind the debate and how environmental coalitions in the past set up the failure for future efforts.
