Guest / 2:30pm EST - Earlier this month, the Boy Scouts of America had met to decide whether or not to lift the ban on allowing gays to be members of the organization.  They delayed their decision until May of this year.  In a way to put pressure on the BSA, openly gay California State Senator Ricardo Lara has proposed a bill, the Youth Equality Act, that would take away organizations that discriminate, like the Boy Scouts, tax exempt status for discriminating against sexual orientation and gender identity and joins us today to talk about it.

Guest / 3:30pm EST - Next week, the Supreme Court will be hearing Shelby vs. Holder, a case which looks at the validity of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which many Southern States are arguing is outdated and unfair.  Doug Kendall, President of the Constitutional Accountability Center, joins us today to talk about the challenges to Section 5 and what could happen as this heads to the Supreme Court.
