Today on the Signorile Show

3:30pm ET - We speak often on the show about the debate for renewable energy and trying to find a new and sustainable source, whether it be wind or solar.  But what about generating power from sewage?  Yesterday, scientists from Stanford University released a study in which they are able to use "wired microbes" to produce electricity.  Craig Criddle, one of the co-authors of the study, joins us this afternoon to speak about their findings and how this can one day be used as a viable source of energy.

4:05pm ET - Comedian, actress, and activist Rosie O'Donnell will call into the show to speak with us about her upcoming role in the ABC Family show "The Fosters" and also get into the issues of the day with us.

4:30pm ET -  This weekend, Washington DC will host the 9th Annual Green Festival at The Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in which progressives leaders and activists will gather to discuss environmental and social justice issues.  I am one of the invited speakers, along with Amy Goodman, Ralph Nader and others.  Georgia Malki, President of Green Festivals, joins us this afternoon to give a rundown of the event and speak about the issues that will be addressed this weekend.
