Today on the Signorile Show

3:35pm ET - During his State of the Union Address, President Obama said that he would sign an Executive Order raising the Minimum Wage for Federal Contractors and signed the order last week during a ceremony at the White House.  There has been a lot of debate in recent weeks as to whether this will help or hurt the economy, and today, the CBO released numbers saying it could cost a number of jobs, but it would also bring 900K families out of poverty and help raise wages for 16 million workers.  Igor Volsky, Managing Editor with Think Progress, helps to clear up the CBO's findings.

4:05pm ET - In 2011 CeCe McDonald, a transgender woman, and her friends were victims of a racial transphobic attack out side a Minneapolis bar.  CeCe was forced to defend herself which resulted in the death of Dean Schmitz, the man who attacked her.  CeCe was sentenced to 41-months in a men's prison, she was released in January after serving 19 months, she speaks to us today about her experience.

4:35pm ET - Daniel Jones is the editor of the New York Times column Modern Love, he has a new book, Love Illuminated: Exploring Life's Most Mystifying Subject (with the Help of 50, 000 Strangers).  Love Illuminated draws inspiration from the thousands of love stories he has read while editing his column Modern Love and he joins us to talk about it.
