In the week following the terrorist attack in South Carolina where nine people were shot dead at Emanuel AME Church by a white supremacist, six churches with predominately black congregations in five Southern states have burned, and three of them are being investigated as arson. Joining me today to talk all about these fires and the symbolism associated with arson at religious institutions is Emma Green the managing editor of TheAtlantic.com.
On Friday, the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry regardless of where they live within the country and joining me today to talk about this historic ruling is Evan Wolfson, the founder and President of Freedom to Marry, the campaign to win marriage equality nationwide.
