Secretary Ash Carter ordered a six-month study aimed at formally ending one of
the last gender- or sexuality-based barriers to military service saying that
the Pentagon's current regulations banning transgender individuals from serving
in the military are outdated. Joining me
today to talk all about this announcement and what it will mean for the future
of the military and the estimated 15,000 transgender people currently serving
