Today on The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

Most people have become aware of the fact that our Nation’s infrastructure is crumbling and it seems like Congress is very unwilling to effectively address the problem, but what most people may not be aware of is the terrible aide effects that this crumbling infrastructure is causing, especially for some of our country’s most vulnerable citizens.  In Flint, Michigan, for example the failing water system there has led to people having to pay for overpriced water that is causing their skin to erupt in rashes and their hair to fall out.  Joining me today to talk all about how as the nation’s infrastructure falls apart, water is becoming more expensive and less safe is Curt Guyette a contributor to The Nation and an investigative reporter for the ACLU of Michigan.

Despite the fact that the Supreme Court declared same-sex marriage a constitutional right, conservative lawmakers are still pressing to have Congress weigh in.  They know full well that reversing the ruling would mean pursuing a constitutional amendment that most anti-gay lawmakers admit would not be a very easy thing to do.  So as another act of desperation and defiance of equality and liberty they are now pushing a bill called the "First Amendment Defense Act," that they argue would protect individuals or groups who believe marriage equality is immoral from government sanction.  However the wording of the bill is such that it may very well allow for all types of discrimination against wide swaths of the American population.  Joining me today to talk all about the Right-Wing’s latest attempt to undermine the civil rights of LGBT people is political consultant, activist, and blogger Joe Sudbay
