The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

Noah Michelson, Executive Editor at The Huffington Post's Gay Voices, returns to The Signorile Show today to help us close out the week with the stories making headlines in the LGBT blog-o-sphere. You can also follow Noah on twitter.

In the months following Indiana Gov. Mike Pence’s decision to sign into law a sweeping "religious freedom" bill that was said to give businesses a "license to discriminate" against LGBT people, the Republican governor has faced severe backlash and seen his poll numbers plummet.   As a result it is now being reported that he is considering adding LGBT protections for the first time in his state's history and meeting with state business leaders who are pushing for a comprehensive nondiscrimination law.  However, the Governor is reportedly considering what's come to be known as the "Utah Compromise” which is modeled after Utah's recently enacted anti-discrimination law, which bans employment and housing discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, but includes a broad religious exemption.  Joining me today to discuss the possible “compromise” over LGBT protections and the business community’s reaction to it is Bil Browning the Founder and Publisher of the recently shutdown  Bilerico Project.  You can also follow Bil on twitter.
