Last week, after months of analyzing a cache of
secret slides and documents that provide a window into the inner workings of
the U.S. military’s kill/capture operations The Intercept began releasing a series of stories produced by a team of
reporters and researchers that is intended to serve as a long-overdue public
examination of the methods and outcomes of America’s assassination program.
This campaign, carried out by two presidents through four presidential terms,
has been shrouded in excessive secrecy and is only now coming to light thanks
to the efforts of courageous whistleblowers and fearless journalists. Joining me on the show today to discuss “The Drone Papers” and the implications that this program of extrajudicial executions
will have for our country and the world is Cora Currier one of the journalist working on the project for The Intercept. You can also follow Cora on twitter.
