The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

Between the Judge who ordered a child removed from its foster home because its parents are lesbians and the announcement made on November 5th by the Mormon Church that they were changing their policy towards LGBT couples and their children, there is a lot going on in Utah these days.  Two weeks ago, it was revealed that the LDS Church issued policy changes to its guide for lay leadership, and under the changes, same-sex couples who marry are apostates and are unwelcome in church congregations.  However if this was not bad enough, the new policy states that the children of same-sex couples cannot be baptized in the church until they are 18 and then only if they disavow their parents.  Joining me today to talk all about what his happening in Utah these days is Kate Kendell the Executive Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights who grew up Mormon in Utah herself and received her J.D. degree from the University of Utah College of Law and formally oversaw the legal department of the ACLU of Utah.
