In the immediate wake of yesterday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, which left at least 14 people dead, numerous lawmakers began tweeting that their “thoughts and prayers” are with the victims of the tragedy. But as Igor Volsky of ThinkProgress was quick to point out, many of these same elected officials who were quick to publicly register their feelings and express outrage over the 352nd mass shooting this year, received thousands of dollars from the National Rifle Association and in return for that money have constantly voted against sensible gun law reforms that could have helped prevented this all too common tragedy from happening in the first place.  Igor joins me today to talk all about the gun lobby and Republican hypocrisy when it comes to gun violence in the United States.  You can also follow Igor on Twitter.
