Outing for Dummies: Seven Easy Steps!

In a later post I'm going to weigh in on why we need to get rid of the word "outing" for good. But I thought you'd appreciate this bit of hilariousness right now.

On the web site of NPR's Talk of the Nation there's a blurb about their report on the Craig scandal and in it they link to a "How to" guide on revealing someone's sexual orientation. It's on one of those automated "how to do anything" sites. There are seven steps, with the difficulty level rated as "moderately easy." There's a "Tips and Warnings" section and then an "Overall Things You'll Need" section, which lists a copy of my book Queer in America.

But my favorite is at the bottom, in the "More Articles Like This" section, which lists How to Sell Antiques at a Craft Show and, um, How to Stretch Your Buttocks Before Nordic Skiing.
