A FEW COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOT DEAD? TIME FOR BUSH TO FIRE UP THE BASE!

Within the same breath that the White House spokesperson, Dana Perino, said the president was saddened by the Virginia Tech massacre on Monday she reiterated that Bush believed in the "right to bear arms" even though he didn't think someone should take a gun into school and blow people's brains out (duh, I would hope so, at the very least).

A horrific shooting, over 30 people dead and he can't for a minute miss an opportunity to get his demoralized (and dwindling) base all excited about his defense of their "right," lest they think he'd let a bloody college campus rampage make him go soft on guns. Now John McCain has gotten the memo from Bush/Rove/whoever. Meanwhile, Bush, his numbers in the 30s, heads to Virgina Tech this week to now use the tragedy for another Katrina-style photo-op.
