FLIPPING AND FLOPPING

Rudy Giuliani, now sucking up to religious extremists to get their vote, is splitting hairs on "domestic partnerships" and "civil unions." He's now saying he doesn't support civil unions. But in December of 2003 he came on a gay satellite channel (SiriusOutQ) to talk with a gay host (me) about, among other things, his much-touted support for gay rights as a Republican. And he said there was no difference between domestic partnerships or civil unions, that he supported states that called it either and that he supported civil unions.
