Up on Cape Cod

Hey all, won't be live on the show Monday and Tuesday (but of course we're re-broadcasting interviews and discussion from the recent past), as I am taking a long weekend, having come up to Cape Cod.

It's been relaxing, and some funny things too. I met some listeners as well as a slew of old friends and acquaintances on the boat coming in from Boston -- a couple of journalists, an activist, a drag performer, among others. And hadn't arrived more than five minutes in P-town, just off the boat, when I came upon a certain gay conservative with whom I've had, well, a less than cordial relationship all these years. If looks could kill I'd have been struck dead right there on Commercial Street.

Anyway, great weather, lots of political chatter and, occasionally, having that perennial and silly discussion New Yorkers often have with people up here: Fire Island vs. P-town. Back live on the show from NYC on Wednesday.
