Great News

Judge overturns Iowa's ban on marriage for gays and lesbians. One couple already got married. The decision is being appealed, and no word yet on whether a stay will be put in place pending appeal.

UPDATE:All other marriages stopped, as the decision put on hold pending appeal. But Sean Fritz, and Timothy McMillan, two Iowa State University students, worked fast during the few horus that marriage equality existed and are now the only legally married gay couple outside of Masssachusetts. The NY Times has a full story and great photo.
