Bill Clinton Defends DOMA
Didn't get a chance to post this yesterday, but I think it's pathetic that Bill Clinton now defends what was a low point in presidency -- signing the Defense of Marriage Act, something he did without fanfare in the middle of the night over a weekend. He gets pretty testy with this student journalist as well.
Bill Richardson defended DOMA in a similar manner when he came on my show months ago. And Hillary Clinton has done the same, all claiming that DOMA was for our own good -- they were trying to prevent momentum of a federal marriage amendment, they claim. But there was no talk of that at the time among Republicans. This was all just cowardice, simple as that, and they are rewriting history.
