Joe Lieberman Loves John Hagee
John McCain may have finally dumped John Hagee, but his good buddy Joe Lieberman -- the so called "Independent-Democrat" Senator from Connecticut-- will speak at an event organized the the end-of-times reverend. John McCain had to distance himself from Hagee last week when it was revealed Hagee once called Aldolf Hitler an "agent of god" -- but apparently, for Lieberman, criticizing Hagee for that is not judging him on the totally of his work, as if the totality of his work should matter after such kooky remarks! Hagee has also called the Catholic Church the "great whore" and blamed Hurricane Katrina on gays. Lieberman defended his decision to appear at Hagee's "Christians United for Israel" summit in a statement saying:
''I believe that Pastor Hagee has made comments that are deeply unacceptable and hurtful...I also believe that a person should be judged on the entire span of his or her life's works. Pastor Hagee has devoted much of his life to fighting anti-Semitism and building bridges between Christians and Jews.'
