Listener Survey Responses

As I do every Saturday, am posting below some of the listener survey responses I read on the show this week. If you're a listener to the show you can take the survey too; it really helps us out. Just click through the link at the right.

I like your great commentary. You have an intelligent thoughtful opinion, you comment in depth, and there are always excellent reasons behind your opinions. I bought one of your books and sent it to my gay stepson - he loves it. Thank you!

Love the show Mike, though please stay away from the abortion thing, my partner and I have a beautiful boy(9mo) and had his birthmother chosen that option we wouldn’t have him. I’m not a pro choice, but then again I’m not a hard pro-lifer either. There are cases and situations where it is the most prudent thing to do, however I DO not believe it should be used as a "birth control" option, as in the case of our son’s birthmother, since his birth I know that she has had 3 abortions. And you TOTALLY pissed me off the other day when you were speaking about men and them not being a victim of forced abortions. As for most everything else I'm right there with you, Its time for people to wake up, take their rights back, and run this country the way it was intended, be free to choose the religion best for you, and have a government that represents you, not a religious sect telling the government what you want and what’s best for you. and by the way your kinda, well you are very sexy.

The GLBT community is indebted to you. Thank you for bringing current issues to our cars and homes over the radio. You are educating and making people more aware. This is the best show on radio. Thank you.

How much is too much? You have a tendency to spend a great deal of time promoting your self. Specifically, your web site(s), books, articles and this survey. Promoting the show is important …I get it… any thing beyond that comes across as arrogance, perhaps even desperate. When you go on and one about these things, I change the channel. Please stop it, Thanks ,

I love the show, I am addicted to it. I can't stand the republicans and all the "straight" hipocrites out there.

I'm certainly not your biggest fan and have never been, from print to Sirius. I listen sometimes though to get a different point of view. Sometimes we have to expand our minds even though we may not agree with the views of... ummm... you. Keep up the fight!

I love the show. The commentary is great. Some of the issues that I would critique is, at times, there has been a lapse in fact checking. I can remember three times that I was surprised when Michelangelo provided a fact that just wasnt true. I have noticed some economic statements being made that were completely false (it was regarding the latest unemployment report) and a couple of statements made regarding international events which were incorrect. Every fact needs to be double checked! [Note from Signorile: As a long-time journalist who has worked in newspapers, magazines, online, etc., and now broadcasting, I can tell that live talk radio is a rough draft -- we're reporting what's happening, relying on other news organizations as well, as sometimes the facts change or are incorrect. We always make sure to late correct it whenever this happens.]

I absolutely love your show...although sometimes I get a little tired of Jay calling in to argue with you everyday. I appreciate all you do for the gay community and it is so worthwhile when people become educated on the truth of what's going on in our nation. Keep up the good work Michelangelo. I hope you continue to do the show for many years to come!

I love the show. The only thing I don't like are the overly long dramatic pauses. I sometimes find myself yelling SPIT IT OUT MAN my drive is only 50 minutes I want to hear this headline before I get home!

I like to hear Mike get somewhat testy with callers (nice and bitchy). It is real and provokes better conversation with the caller and makes for a good debate worth listening to - after all I'm missing out on First Wave to listen to the show!!!

I enjoy your show and try to listen as much as possible. I listen online now and have recently purchased a Sirius radio for my home. Keep up the good work. You really make me think. I feel more informed and ready to make an educated decision when I vote this Fall.

I listen at work all the time, but I can never call in. I wish there was a way to message you guys during the show so I could put in my two cents. Anyway, I'm a twentysomething Midwestern mom caught in the middle of Lutheran corporate America, so it's the best thing in the world that I can sit in my gray cubicle with my headphones on laughing my ass off at Cindy McCain saying, "I've always been very proud of my cunt!" My coworkers give me weird looks and wonder what I'm laughing at, and unfortunately I am unable to disclose this information without a PIN number (yes, I work for a financial company, and yes, i'm a big nerd). Anyway, keep up the good work.
