N. Korea Our New BFF

So we're no longer listing North Korea as a "state sponsor of terrorism" after the regime acknowledged they had nuclear weapons and agreed to international inspections. Wow, Bush actually negotiated with a government he doesn't like, so we're wondering when he is going to accuse himself of appeasement? But seriously, isn't it funny that the most multilateral and least saber-rattling foreign policy initiative by the Bush Administration wound up being the most successful? (Well, after they stopped calling North Korea a member of the "axis of evil," to which Kim Jong Il responded by firing missles toward Hawaii.) Why, you'd almost think there was a lesson here that talking to other governments instead of threatening to destroy them all the time might yield better results. Just saying.
