Number Crunching

A new Washington Post-ABC News Poll has some interesting figures we'll try to get to on the show.

Fun Facts:

->George Bush's approval rating stands at 29% with 68% of respondents disapproving of the job he is doing. (It's a historically low approval rating, but still, are those 29% dead enders drunk?)

->Not surprisingly, 80% of Bush dead-enders intend to vote for McCain.

->Obama is leading McCain 49% to 45% among registered voters

->56% of voters think McCain is a "safe" choice, only 52% think the same for Obama

-> Voters are (somehow) evenly split on who would be better to deal with Iraq and even over how to deal with the war there.

->But, 52% think Obama's views are "about right" compared to 40% for McCain

->Obama crushes McCain among white women who describe themselves as feminists 70% to 30%

->But, among 46% Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents pick Hillary as their top choice for Obama's running-mate.

Ok, we have a headache now.
