On the Show Today

On Friday, Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed a bill extending anti-discrimination protections to gay and transgender people. Mindy Barton, legal director of Equal Rights Colorado, will join me to talk about Colorado LGBT politics and this victory, which religous right forces did everything they could to stop. 3:30 PM.

At 4:40 ET, linguistics professor George Lakoff joins us again. He made a splash a few years back with his book Don't Think of an Elephant, which instantly made him a guru to many Democrats, as he schooled them in on how to frame issues better than the Republicans. He joins to talk about his new book: The Political Mind: Why You Can't Understand 21st-Century American Politics with an 18th Century Brain.

Tune into the Michelangelo Signorile Show weekdays from 2-6 p.m. EST on Sirius Satellite Radio’ s OutQ, Channel 109. Not a subscriber? Listen online at any time by getting a free three-day pass.
