Senate Votes on "Compromise" FISA Bill

The cloture vote occurred tonight in the Senate and not surprisingly Democrats overwhelmingly voted yes, so the bill will now come to a vote, perhaps before the July 4th recess. That's really it right there, a done deal. Obama didn't show for the cloture vote -- neither did McCain, nor Clinton for that matter.

Obama also indicated tonight he will likely vote for the bill even with the telecom immunity provision included, as will most Democrats, once again allowing Bush to get away with trampling the Constitution.
