It's Gushing Oil $Money$ For McCain

Speaking of raining gasoline --

Campaign contributions from the oil industry to Sen. John McCain gushed in the last half of June. Interestingly this happened just after McCain made a high-profile split with environmentalists and reversed his opposition to the federal ban on offshore drilling.

Oil donations rose to over $1 million last month, while he received just over one-hundred thousand in March and just over two-hundred thousand in May.

The ever altruistic McCain said his decision to "reverse policy" (flip-flop) was the only thing he could do for Americans as voter anger rose and sparked him to action!

McCain then headed to Texas for some major fund-raising with energy execs, and the day afterwards he raised $1.3 million. Thanks for your never ending sacrifice for the American people Senator McCain.
