Congratulations Rachel!

Rachel Maddow will get her own show on MSNBC, replacing Dan Abrams in the line-up. This is a huge step forward for cable news and talk. Rachel is brilliant, truly liberal and an open lesbian, and someone I've had the pleasure of knowing for a few years. She came to New York to be on Air America, just about the time that I started the show on Sirius, and we've had her on the show as well (and surely we'll be having her back to talk about her TV success). She has worked hard in TV, among other things appearing for a while on Tucker Carlson's now-defunct show (which surely wasn't easy!), and it's great to see her name given a well-deserved show of her own. Kudos to MSNBC and congrats to Rachel.
