On Today's Show

In our second hour (3:30 EST) we'll speak to activist and Soulforce organizer Meg Sneed about an upcoming gay rights protest deep in the heart of McCain Country. Starting Aug. 8, Sneed and other young Soulforce activists will walk 96 miles to the Arizona state capitol to share their thoughts on the proposed constitutional amendment against gay marriage there.

Then at 4:30 EST Philip Gourevitch joins us to talk about the book Standard Operating Procedure, which he co-wrote with Errol Morris. The book examines the stories of the U.S. soldiers who took and appeared in those iconic photos from Abu Ghraib that shocked the world.
