On Today's Show

In our second hour (3:30 EST) we'll talk to author and NPR executive Dick Meyer about his new book Why We Hate Us: American Discontent in the New Millenium. Meyer dives deep into American self-loathing and it's causes. Gee, thanks OmniMedia, OmniMarketing and a cultural hangover still with us from the 1960's that has left most of us "existentially tired."

Then in at 4:30 EST we'll talk to Ron Marlett who is an Oklahoma City social worker and running against insane anti-gay state lawmaker Sally Kern. Marlett's got a long battle to the State House ahead and we'll see where he stands and how we can help.
