Today on the Signorile Show

Today, "The Runaway General," Stanley McChrystal, is out. hHe met with President Obama and other officials in the administration to explain comments he made during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. And then president announced he was relieved of his command. But did Obama miss an opportunity, once again, by not bringing in someone with a plan to end this war and chart a different course? What does it mean for the war that General Petraeus has been brought in? Did Obama make the right decision? We'll talk about the news coming out of the White House today.

Last night, the president had a reception for the LGBT community to celebrate Pride Month. He invited a lot of local LGBT groups and some special guests, including Constance McMillan, the Mississippi lesbian who had been banned from bringing her girlfriend to her prom. We'll go over what the president had to say at the event and the reaction from activists.

The BP Oil Gusher has dominated the news in one way or another. Yesterday, news broke that a judge had reversed the moratoriums on offshore oil drilling enacted by the White House. Today, we learn that judge has financial ties to the oil industry. We'll talk about the investments he has and the reaction from the White House to appeal this decision.

Guest / 4:30pm EST - Tomorrow night, CNN will premiere its documentary, In America: Gary and Tony Have A Baby, which follows this couple as they try to have a baby and form a family. Rose Arce is the producer of the documentary and joins us this afternoon to talk about their journey.

The New York State Senate has passed an anti-bullying bill which would protect LGBT students from harassment and discrimination. The Advocate says, "Governor David Paterson is expected to sign the bill into law, which would mark the first time gender identity and expression are included in state law."
