Today on the Signorile Show!

4:05pm ET - Yesterday Houston’s city council in vote of 11-6 approved expanded anti-bias protections for gay and transgender residents; however anti-gay activist and Houston Community College Board of Trustees member Dave Wilson is threatening to recall openly lesbian Mayor Annise Parker and any city council members who support the non-discrimination policy. Joining us to discuss this ordinance and the opposition to it is Houston Mayor Annise Parker.

4:35pm ET - For most of her life, journalist Julia Scott says that if she ever thought at all about the bacteria living on her skin, it was while she was trying to scrub them away. But recently she spent four weeks rubbing them in as part of a developmental test for a new living bacterial skin tonic, developed by AOBiome, a biotech start-up in Cambridge, Mass.  In her recent article for the New York Times Magazine titled “My No-Soap, No-Shampoo, Bacteria-Rich Hygiene Experiment” she details her experience and the affects it had on her skin, hair, and social life.  She joins us today to discuss her soap free experience.
