4:05pm ET - Following the shooting and death of Michael Brown at the hands of police in Ferguson, MO the St. Louis suburb has experienced a wave of protests and what many consider an extreme military style response by the police. This response has come under harsh criticism from across the nation and has raised serious questions about the militarization of our police forces and the police’s use of lethal force against unarmed citizens.
