Today On The Signorile Show!

3:35pm ET - This weekend residents of Toledo, the fourth-largest city in Ohio, spent their weekend under a water advisory after testing revealed high levels of toxins in the city’s water supply, which was caused by massive algae growth in Lake Erie.  Joining us to discuss this problem and what has caused it is Emily Atkin, a reporter for Think Progress’ climate section Climate Progress.  You can also follow Emily on twitter.

4:35pm ET - In 1993, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act was passed practically unanimously, with support from Ted Kennedy to Orrin Hatch, the ACLU to Concerned Women for America, and since then it has been used by the conservative right to protect religious discrimination of certain segments of the American population, namely women and LGBT people.  Joining us today to discuss this Act and why it needs to be repealed is Katha Pollitt, the Subject to Debate columnist for The Nation Magazine and the author of forthcoming book, PRO: Reclaiming Abortion Rights, which is due out in October.  You can also follow Katha on twitter and her blog.
