Today On The Signorile Show

4:35pm ET - Over the last 80 years, Louisiana’s coast has been starved of sediment by river levees and eviscerated by canals dredged for oil and gas extraction, and as a result southeastern Louisiana is sinking at one of the fastest rates on the planet into the Gulf of Mexico.  Already, some 2,000 square miles have sunk into the Gulf, and without action, the state could lose another 1,750 squares miles over the next 50 years.  Joining us today to talk about the problem and what is being done to address it is Bob Marshall, who covers environmental issues for The Lens and who recently wrote a two part report on the issue titled “Losing Ground for ProPublica.
