4:35pm ET - Yesterday, The Supreme Court released its five-to-four decision in Alabama Legislative Black Caucus v. Alabama and Alabama Democratic Conference v. Alabama which offers a small, and perhaps only temporary, victory for minority voters in a dispute over the redrawing of Alabama’s legislative districts after the 2010 census.  The Court sided with the plaintiffs who argued that the new Republican drawn district lines amounted to nothing more than racial gerrymandering intended to disenfranchise minority’s and Democrats.  Joining us today to discuss the case and the implications the decision will have concerning other cases of gerrymandering around the country is Ari Berman of The Nation.  You can also follow Ari on twitter.
