Today on The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127
4:35pm ET - The question of
whether men are truly necessary in the biological destiny of the human race is
one that has been explored by scientists and philosophers for many years, and
in his new book Women After All: Sex, Evolution, and the End of Male Supremacy, Dr. Melvin Konner a Professor in the Department of Anthropology and
the Program in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology at Emory University,
explores this question, and sheds light on the biological and cultural
differences between men and women. Using
many colorful examples from the natural world he argues that maleness in humans
like many of other creatures is hardly necessary to the survival of the
species. Dr. Konner joins us today to discuss the book, and how the end of male
supremacy will lead to a better, wiser world for women and men alike.
