3:35pm ET - On Friday, the US
Justice Department backed a lawsuit brought by a transgender prison inmate
named Ashley Diamond who says the state of Georgia illegally cut off the
hormone treatment that she had been taking for 17 years, as well as forcing her
to live in extremely dangerous situations.
Joining us today to discuss the case as well as the degrading and
abusive treatment that the state of Georgia has subjected Ashely to is her
lawyer Chinyere Ezie of the Southern Poverty Law Center.
