Today on The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

Last week, we saw outrage across the globe when it was discovered that the beloved Cecil The Lion of Zimbabwe was inhumanly killed by Dr. Walter Payton.  It’s fitting that we have Carl Safina on the show to talk about his new book Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel which weaves decades of field observations with exciting new discoveries about the brain to offer an intimate view of animal behavior to challenge the fixed boundary between humans and nonhuman animals. Carl Safina is a MacArthur Fellow, Pew Fellow and Guggenheim Fellow, a professor at Stony Brook University and founding president of The Safina Center (formerly Blue Ocean Institute).
