introduced to the devastating epidemic that is meth addiction in the Gay
community. Therapists across the country
treating gay men are reporting a significant increase in meth abuse and medical
professionals argue that the use of meth increases a person’s tendency to take
part in high-risk sexual behavior, which puts them at greater risk of HIV and
other infections. Joining me today to
discuss the ongoing meth epidemic in the gay community is substance abuse
expert and clinical psychotherapist David Fawcett whose new book Lust, Men,and Meth: A Gay Man’s Guide to Sex and Recovery provides the first
practical resource for recovery from methamphetamine and the restoration of
