The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

In the hit TV Land series Younger, from Sex and the City creator Darren Star, acclaimed actress Debi Mazar plays the best friend to Tony Award-winning actress Sutton Foster.  In the show, Debi’s character Maggie, a 40-something lesbian artist, is the only one to knows Sutton Foster’s character Liza's secret. The show follows Liza’s adventures as she reboots her career and love life after she is convinced by Maggie to pose as a 26-year old following a meeting with a young guy at a bar, who thinks she is in her twenties instead of her forties, the show airs Wednesday nights 9pmET / 10pm CT and is currently in its second season.  Debi and her husband, Gabriele Corcos, also host the hit Cooking Channel show, Extra Virgin and have a new show Extra Virgin Americana that will premiere soon on the Cooking Channel, as well.  They also own and operate an Italian cafĂ© in Brooklyn, NY called Under The Tuscon Gun.  Debi joins me now on the show to talk all about her amazing career and the second season of the TV Land series Younger.

When music critic and journalist Rashod Ollison was growing up in rural Arkansas things were not always easy for him and his family, however through all of his pain and struggles he was able to turn to music to make sense of his life.  In his new memoir Soul Serenade: Rhythm,Blues, & Coming of Age Though Vinyl he details the trials and tribulations of his early life and explains how through the R&B songs that played on 45s in the smoky rooms of his childhood he was able to understand and escape from all his problems.  Rashod joins me today on the show to talk all about the book.
