The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

Following his third place finish in Iowa, Sen. Marco Rubio gave a concession speech that sounded more like a victory speech, and he wasn’t the only one to interpret the night that way. Other media outlets have also said that he will now become the top choice for the party establishment.  However, according to Kira Lerner, Political Reporter for ThinkProgress he is one of the most extreme among the Republican field when it comes to issues like surveillance and rights for same-sex couples and has long ago abandoned his more moderate positions on issues like immigration.  Kira joins me today to talk all about the ways in which Rubio is far more extreme than other candidates

From 2009 to 2013, Alec Ross served as Sec. Hillary Clinton’s top adviser on innovation and technology, traveling to more than 40 countries to observe a variety of technological advances. In his new book The Industries of the Future, he explores emerging fields, such as robotics, genomics, and big data and discusses what the impact these industries will have on the global economy, politics and what the possible social consequences of them might be.  Alec joins me today in studio to talk all about the book and the approaching robotics age.
