As Donald Trump’s campaign continues to implode and his poll numbers consistently plummet, some conservative intellectuals have begun to wonder whether or not the Republican Party and conservative movement can survive the 2016 election. Today on The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127
Late last month, the
United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit struck down much of the
North Carolina’s omnibus voter suppression law. Though Attorney General Roy
Cooper (D) soon announced that his office would no longer defend the law in
court, Gov. Pat McCrory (R) pledged to ask the justices to stay this decision
and effectively reinstate the law, which is something that hasn’t happened
yet. Joining me today to talk all about
North Carolina’s voter suppression law why the state still hasn’t sought a stay
from the Supreme Court is Ian Millhiser,
a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress Action Fund and the Editor
of ThinkProgress Justice.
