Today on The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM PROGRESS ch.127

With all the media focusing on the Presidential race it is easy to forget that there is much more than the presidency at stake come November 8. Whoever controls the Senate and the House will determine what the next president can accomplish and Governors and legislatures decide whether a given state is a “laboratory of democracy” or a political shop of horrors.  Joining me today to talk all about the importance of down ballot races and which progressive campaigns are shaping the 2016 debate and, perhaps, the future is John Nichols of The Nation.

This sure has been another crazy week in politics what with the fallout from the Trump Tape, the sexual assault allegations against the GOP nominee, and the ongoing civil war in the Republican Party.  Joining me today to help us wrap up the week in politics is Eleanor Clift the Washington correspondent for The Daily Beast, where she covers the White House and writes about politics and culture.
