A Mormon "Yes on 8" Supporter Calls In

This was my conversation with Nancy from Amarillo, a Mormon who donated money to the Yes on 8 Campaign. She called in after hearing many callers from around the country talking about protesting the Mormon Church for its helping to raise 20 million dollars among its members for Prop 8.




UPDATE:Jeremy Hooper at Good as You notes that this is likely Nancy Ormson, manager of Amarillo's Ormson Hearing Health Care, who donated $5000 to Yes on 8.

Here is the latest ad from the the antigay activists pushing the marriage ammendment, Prop 8, in California. Activists attribute the start of the ad campaign two weeks ago to a sudden shift, at least one poll, in favor taking away the legal right to marry for gays and lesbians. This ad is vile, but par for the course, dredging up homophobia in people and manipulating people's emotions, particularly about their children. It also lies about Massachusetts, as there's been no adverse outcome from marriage equality in that state.
