Today on the Signorile Show

Last night,President Obama gave an Oval Office address regarding the BP Gulf Oil Leak. After the speech, some Republicans predictably claimed he's trying to exploit the disaster for political gain, but some liberals and progressives also criticized the speech, saying he only touched the surface and was too vague in his response and his push for energy reform. What did you think? We'll go though it and take calls.

After a five-month hiatus, court is back in session today, with Judge Vaughn Walker hearing the closing arguments in the historic Prop 8 trial. We'll be updating you today on what is coming out of California.

Sharron Angle, the Tea Party-backed Republican Senate candidate running against Harry Reid in Nevada, arrived in Washington yesterday to meet with Republican's to show she's ready to take on the challenges of Washington elites. According to the Washington Post, "
as she made the rounds of the senators she came to see, the anti-Washington candidate seemed to go out of her way not to be seen." Meanwhile, comments of hers have surfaced in which she called for an armed insurrection. We'll talk about her appearances, and her rebellion-talk, this afternoon.

Guest / 3:30pm EST - We spoke about the HHS Committee vote regarding the ban on gay men donating blood. The committee voted it down with a vote of 9-6. Joining us today to talk about what went wrong, Adam Bink, who has been following this on OpenLeft.com.

Forster and how keeping his homosexuality secretive influenced his writings and why his history of gay experiences, he believed, would find its audience in a happier time.

Elton John now claims, through his partner David Furnish, that he was "building bridges" by singing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding -- but no mention of the million bucks he collected or where it's going. Meanwhile, news has now surfaced that the pastor who married Limbaugh and 4th wife was none other than the antigay Ken Hutcherson, who Mike's sparred with on the show several times. We'll surely be talking about it and taking your calls.

Yesterday San Francisco passed a law mandating cell phone providers disclose the amount of radiation emitted from cell phones at the point of purchase. Are the studies conclusive enough that radiation from cell phones can cause brain tumor? Could this hurt the cell phone sales in the US? Would this stop you from buying? We'll discuss today.
