Another One Bites the Dust

It's a big year for dying hatemongers. D. James Kennedy, leader of the Coral Ridge Ministries and major crusader against gay rights for several decades, died yesterday at the age of 76. His name might have been less known than Jerry Falwell's but Kennedy was no less powerful. He organized with Anita Bryant in the late 70s, built Coral Ridge into a multi-million dollar antigay force in the 80s and two years ago was dubbed "the most influential evangelical you've never heard of" by Rolling Stone. He destroyed lives in the name of God while he was alive, and as far as I'm concerned the world is better off without him.
