Pardon Poor Larry Craig?

Frank Rich makes the case for why Larry Craig should have his plea reversed and his arrest declared unconstitutional. He criticizes gay groups for not defending Craig against the sting -- even if he is a nasty homophobe -- and quotes the pioneering gay activist Frank Kameny defending Craig. I agree with Rich, even if it is true that Craig helped to install the very judges who would rule against his own civil liberties. It's an opportunity to further point out the hypocrisy of conservatives and the Republican party as well as our own consistency when it comes to protecting civil rights.

What do you think?
