It's the Law!
The decision granting marriage rights to gays and lesbians in California is still a hard pill to swallow in a few county offices, as we told you last week. But some county clerks are laying the smack down for gay marriage in their offices:
"At least 14 employees in the San Diego County Clerk's Office raised religious objections to performing gay wedding ceremonies but were told by their boss they couldn't pick and choose between marriage applicants."We shouldn't have to thank San Diego County Clerk Greg Smith for enforcing the law in this matter, but we will anyways. Also, isn't it scary that public employees need to be told that they can't discriminate?
