Obama On The Verge

It's finally the last day of primaries and we may (sort of) have an idea as to who our nominee will probably be! We'll go through it all on the show. Obama is about "25 or so" delegates away from the all-new (post- Michigan and Florida settlement) "magic number" to get the nomination: 2,118. He will pick up another handful in today's Montana and South Dakota primaries. And then there's the wave of superdelegates poised to endorse Obama once polls close in Montana at 10pm EST tonight.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, is not going to drop out tonight, as the AP reported -- only to later retract, after an denial by the Clinton campaign -- but there are clearly talks going on between the campaign over how she will exit and what role she'll take. And yes, the chatter of the dream ticket is back. We should know everything -- maybe -- by the end of the week.

UPDATE: AP is back to reporting that Clinton will "concede the delegate race" tonight.
