Shooting Down Gun Control?

The Supreme Court is set to rule today on the constitutionality of Washington D.C.'s handgun ban. Like yesterday's ruling on the death penalty, the case could be decided by a very slim majority. According to some reports, based on their line of questioning Justices Roberts, Scalia, Alito and Kennedy support a broader interpretation of the second amendment and Souter, Stevens, Ginsburg and Breyer all fall somewhere on the pro-gun control spectrum. Although we have an idea of who Clarence Thomas is going to side with, he said nothing during the arguments in this case-- in fact he hasn't said anything since Feb. 2006.

Regardless of how the Court rules, we'll talk about the decision today on the show.
