Bush Still Sees Things That Don't Exist

Despite (or maybe in spite of) the facts that 75% of Americans think he personally ruined the economy and that most of the world sees him as an incompetent war mongering chimp who is less trustworthy than Ahmadinejad, W. still thinks things are looking up for him:

When he travels around the country, Bush feels less "antipathy" than he used to in the crowds, along the motorcade routes, and expressed by the individuals who talk to him at his events. "He feels there has been a shift in attitudes out there that's not reflected in polling data," the aide says.
See, we think most people felt antipathy towards Bush at the start of his term, which then turned into festering enmity and now exists as a blinding, all consuming rage which burns hotter than the sun. But let's hope Bush keeps believing he's popular again and makes himself as visible as possible between now and Election Day.
